It angered him to find

all his efforts to do right

to be honest, concerned for others

thrown away so quickly

like a leaf blown into a fire by the wind

consumed, nothing left, for anyone or anything

beaten down by life

Having Purpose

It got cold at night,

but never did you hear any of them complain of it.

They had little if any money,

but they did not seem to want.

They had purpose in life.

And thus they were content in being.

Where did they go?

The building waited for life,

along with the furniture,

and empty halls....

It waits and listens

no noise from the streets...

Where did everyone go?

And when it's all over

it doesn't matter

that we struggled and cried

unless we loved

during our precious time

before we died

yielding reluctantly

finding the way

No Importance

There's much confusion and fear in this age that we live in,

a mass-minded delusion....

fed by the media, taken out of context....

We've lost touch of our basic needs,

love, acceptance, understanding all left behind

for things of no importance....
