Crossing Under

I've been pushing my ISO to squeeze as mush light out of hand held shots as possible. A quick fix when you don't have your tripod with you.

Dead Zone

I'm so pissed I could scream.... I wouldn't do me any good. The never ending Great Recession is taking a toll on everyone I know. People losing their jobs, houses, and futures... and there's no end in sight.

I'm lucky to still have a job, but I'm wondering for how much longer?

Seriously.... I'm just holding on until an opportunity to flee California presents itself.

One thing's for sure, these One-Delta-Ten-Tango politicians in this state have run things into the ground (with lots of help from the clueless voters).

It's all over now baby blue

Words fail us more often than we know.

Just Space Now

and the recession marches on....  The continued closing of stores tell a different story than the media.

String Theory

The slightest thing in the foreground makes a world of difference in shooting sunsets... There, I've said it again.

Some locations are always good spots when it comes to making images.

Taking it in

It was my good fortune to be in the right place at the right time.

Fly on

I forced myself out of the house for some sunset shots. I couldn't find a place to park, so I tried a different location. It worked out better than expected.

Casual Reflections

All in time...

I've had a lot on my plate lately.  Longer posts will come... just need to collect my thoughts.

The Times They Are A-Changin'

The first one now will later be last...

That's were we find ourselves now...
and unless we change,
there's not much we can do about it.

Sad new world

I've been researching some mobile electronics for my car to integrate navigation, blue tooth, and digital media.

There are so many options that it takes time to narrow them down to the point where you're getting the most bang for a buck.

I wanted to see some of these units in person, just to get a hands on feel for them.

What a sad experience that was. Best Buy only had two units, which didn't offer me much to look at.

The local guy down the street had a better selection than Best Buy, but still slim pickings.

The last place I went to was another local shop that was recommended to me. This place was the saddest of them all. They had a single unit on display, and everything else were just color pictures of the units that were printed off the web and taped on the display board.

It's back to the internet for me. If I do get something, I may even learn to install it myself.

Money is hard to come by, and I sure don't want to waste it on businesses that don't earn it.

Fog and Trees

The weather has been anything but predictable. What started out looking like a dry winter has been anything but that. We've had, rain, snow, fog, and lots of wind.... and we're just getting started.

Never underestimate nature...

A brand new day

A new day, new year, and new decade.... filled with possibilities.
