Minor repairs
I'm making progress on the ebook I've been formatting. It's down to fixing some of the coding. Sure is a bigger project than expected, but the reward is in the progress.

Into something
On distant shores of dreams,
we found our peace washed up,
and waiting below the tide

Dirty numbers
Making numbers suit our needs,
ignoring consequence or repercussion,
is how our empire crumbled and fell

Slow
The new language we were speaking slowed our progress... and yet we proceeded with caution, focused on our destination.

Fenced in
I've been helping a loved one work on epubs,
and of course it's turning out to be a little more complicated than anticipated.
Putting it together isn't so hard, really. The issue is how the text is rendered on various devices and ereader software. They all want to handle the rendering of the html slightly differently.
To solve this issue, we will probably add some css coding to resolve rendering fussiness. Epub code standardization would solve a lot of this, but we're not there yet.

Dollars
A shallow motivation,
that in the end is nothing
that in the end is nothing

Like a thief
Time takes everything we have,
leaving nothing behind...
us passing as we came...
leaving nothing behind...
us passing as we came...

How we parted
Our paths now diverged,
the future taking us separate ways
the future taking us separate ways

Weaving Tales
She held out carrots he could no longer reach,
offering up dreams whose luster had faded...
he'd packed visions of the future away,
letting them die, little by little, day by day

Warming up
The sun works its magic,
trying to keep winter at bay

Rusted Out
Time taking its toll,
in moments and years,
until our expiration
in moments and years,
until our expiration

Indecisive
No plan of action,
stagnant indecision,
tearing apart our future,
dreams lost in a black hole
stagnant indecision,
tearing apart our future,
dreams lost in a black hole

Making the distance
On a path of years,
we make our distance,
across time,
never to return
we make our distance,
across time,
never to return

So long
I've got a thousand sunsets,
kept in a box to remember,
asking how it came to this...

Dropped Tech
The challenge of the times was to adapt,
it's always been that way...
it's always been that way...

Debt Service
Deep down we knew we were wagering away all our tomorrows, and strangely we didn't really care.

Winter Sticks
Placed off limits by growing fields of snow and icy roads, our rural getaway.
These restrictions will pass once the thawing begins, but for now winter sticks.

Reached the edge
Sometimes you've got to turn and double back,
before the path you're on takes you over the edge
before the path you're on takes you over the edge

Sky meets shore
Clouds wash the world clean,
always so full of surprises,
they give us life in their passing

The blue rabbit
Let your imagination run where it will,
taking you places beyond your dreams,
opening vast vistas to explore

Number System
When the world just doesn't add up,
it's time to change our approach,
and look at things differently

Birds and Clouds
Google has added some impressive tools to YouTube, with a host of filters and the bonus of image stabilization, which I tried on this short clip. I was very pleased with the results.
This clip has a painterly/photographic look, exactly what I wanted.

Not knowing
Our connect lives where everything is plugged into the internet isn't giving us the time and convenience it seemed to promise, in fact we've been losing time because of it.

Off Limits
The limits of imagination are only constrained by the boundaries we impose upon it.

Rays and Surf
In the folds of the waves,
surfer and sea become one,
embracing the sun's last rays

Cultural Foundations
A house divided against itself cannon stand.
And so, once again we find ourselves so politically split that very future of the nation, and the freedom of its people is uncertain.

Clear Roads
Take us to places removed,
where thoughts become clear,
in connection and movement,
shadows chilled winter air
where thoughts become clear,
in connection and movement,
shadows chilled winter air

Ice Cold
I spent the day in a frozen icy world. It's interesting to see the world through winter eyes.

Freedom
You can't lose what you've given away,
getting freedom back is no easy task

Political Motivation
This age of gridlock will prove fatal to a nation,
with power and greed the only political motivation

Goodbye
An arbitrary measurement of days is meaningless,
it's what we do with them that counts.
it's what we do with them that counts.
