Making Sense of It
All this growing technology and we're still in the dark and struggling to make sense of the world. I guess it all depends on your point of view how useful all of this is, and to what purpose.

Not there yet
There's no doubt that the world is revolving around technology these days, but we're not at the stage where it makes our lives easier, in fact it's doing just the opposite.

When the mind is gone
When the mind is gone, the days become jumbled and merge into one. The seasons too. Time no longer that long road we move forward on. No! Instead we travel back and forth through the dimensions of distorted memories, unable to sort out the facts and fictions of our lives.

Tough Love
Sometimes loving someone is the toughest thing in life.... that's the price we've got to pay for it.

Anger Issues
As my family marches down the road of finding much needed help and a care facility for my mother, we are faced with her understandable anger issues. No one wants to lose control, or be taken away from all that they love, even when they've done it to themselves. We've been reaching down, hoping faith and love will get us through this.

Off the rails
There comes a time when our world unravels and we can't put it back together again. Call it fate or destiny, but whatever it is we've little control on how things play out once we're off the rails.

Special Kind of Crazy
We're all faced with challenges, and those days of special kind of crazy. They don't last forever and give us the resolve to face difficulties in life. Hang in there....

In little bits
We've fractured our world.... broken it up into bits and pieces... just out of our reach, leaving us a struggle to cope... and working at putting it back together again.

The Future
And so begins the process of helping a loved one begin their final journey. This is going to take a lot of patience, and resolve. Some luck and a little bit of help wouldn't hurt...

Sail on imagination
Sail on the winds of imagination, let them take you where they will. Follow your instincts and they'll serve you well in an unpredictable world desperately in need of change.

Ours for the making
Our dreams shape the world and define the light... the shape of things to come begin with them, make them big, live them and they become real. Ours for the making.

Yes, you can fly
My friend now has his third book up for sale on Amazon, which is really exciting for me. To watch the progression, and to see how technology can make dreams come true. If you want to write, write. If you want to sing, sing. Don't hold yourself back. You have the power and all your really need to do is believe in yourself.

Sucked In
Oh those promises of simplicity.... download our app, subscribe to our website, go paperless, online banking, plan your vacation with a click, blah blah blah.... technology is sucking us down the rabbit hole.

Fork in the Road
There are hard choices waiting for me ahead, and not just ones the affect me, but those I care about. There's nothing easy about getting older, nor facing down our challenges, but forge ahead we must. This is where a little faith can help us through life and makes all the difference in the world.

Change
Sometimes change is thrust upon us, sometimes we seek it out, either way, change is a fact of life. We need to embrace it if we can, make the most of it, or at the very least adapt, improvise, and overcome.

Breakdown
This is exactly how I feel.... like an old car that got some new hoses, ready to breakdown at any time.

A Day at the Beach
I've been playing around with an HD Camcorder. I like it, but not it looks like I'm going to have to get some better software than what came with it. I'd like to be able to overlay sound, and even do some frame by frame editing if need be...
On the outside, in...
I stumbled upon this artist from Australia named Jeffrey Smart. Love his work, and it seems to sum up how much I'm feeling lately. On the outside, in....

Can't Sleep
I've had insomnia for most of my life, but it's gotten so much worse in the last couple of weeks that it's starting to drive me crazy. Getting by on less than an hours sleep for days is tough, and I sure hope this passes. It's bad enough no longer dreaming, but not sleeping at all.... *sigh*

Geek
The new system is up and running, and all the old stuff went off as ewaste. It's nice to have some new equipment, and it certainly is a lot faster, but I'm starting to wonder if I'll live long enough to see the kind of computing equipment and just knocks my socks off.

Grouchy
I'm noticing that I've been a lot more grouchy since my health issues, and I'm not happy about that. I'll just have to work a little harder at being patient.... I don't want to be someone who's no fun to be around.

Get Real
So I'm going about my business, working on my new computer set-up, combining systems, getting rid of obsolete hardware, removing hard drives, organizing data, and just hanging out with my cats.
Relaxing right? Hell yeah! I'm in the sanctuary of my space, and the big bad world is on hold. I'm off the grid anyway, no more traditional television and/or radio. I got tired of being bombarded by the crap spewing from legacy media, especially around election season.
Who wants to hear a bunch of lies and bullshit from the left or the right (if you ask be they deserve each other), both parties trying to control voters. Politicians are corrupt to the core, out only for themselves.
Well, I guess it's starting to dawn on them that we don't want anything to do with them, and the result is that they're starting to show up on our doorsteps. Like they did with me today... and they seem so sincere, and they seem to believe the crap that comes out of their mouths, but seriously, they don't have brains enough to put air in a car tire, and really can't be trusted.
You want me to vote for you? Get Real!
In the meantime, go away!

Hard Times
It's how we choose to look at life that makes a difference. Sure, life can be tough, but the occasional smile and a little laughter can go a long way in making it that much better.

Getting it all done
Lately, I've been obsessed with getting my affairs in order. Part of it is because I've got a new computer system, and the other is realizing that any day could be my last. No reason to burden others with by unfinished business.
