Complicated

It doesn't take much to realize that we make the world much more complicated than it needs to be.  I'm reminded of this every time I have to work with different operating systems, interfaces, apps, or proprietary file formats.  Each one a needless hoop to jump through to do a simple task.  Since we do this on purpose, it must be faulty wiring.  How else do you explain it?

TV

TV has become a pervasive droning, it's everywhere, always on....
saying nothing, keeping us numb, on and on and on it goes...
the pinnacle of our existence, a reflection of humanity's soul...

Someone to watch over her

My mother is losing her battle with Alzheimer's Disease.  Just a shell of herself and fading fast, we've had to move her to facilities that can care for her.  It hasn't been an easy transition, and she's been more confused than ever, and filled with a rage and anger that's frightening. We've been praying for her and hope that she soon settles into a new and happier routine.  She's a strong woman of faith, and I pray that her guardian angel that she speaks of often and dearly loves watches over her.

Rough Waters
