The dream that awaits

to find who we may be

searching high and low

venturing far and wide

we take ourselves apart

the world puts back together

and never do we find

Bigger

Bigger is the world

we fail to understand
 

Come Clean

 

sooner or later

we all come clean

the lonely wait

no one knocks

tears fall unseen

no one calls

No New Road

 

There are no new roads,

nor army's of salvation....

just laughing faces,

behind empty eyes,

cold hearts make us pay

We all need help

shelter from the blinding light,

 distractions, promises, maybes,

that go to our head

Love moves us

like leaves and the wind

touched, yet not
 

Marvel

We marvel at ourselves

keeping from us understanding
 

EGO

our egos stand in our way
 

unchanged

We cling to our identity,

a reality created by thought,

our response programmed....

the crowd reigns
 

The Chase

Our thoughts lead us astray....

ideas an illusion we chase
 

Not in our nature

 

The idea that we can get along,

is never seriously explored...

it's not in our nature

Wishful Thinking

Discontent doesn't cease with wishful thinking,

you've got to let it go and be empty
 

Noise

The noisy mind is filled with trouble

The music stopped

The Dance was over

We'd shut it all down,

in the name of a pandemic,

hiding in fear and silence
 

Rubbish

We live in a void

filled with rubbish

assigning value

where none need be
 

Shade

Silent stood the trees,
 trading their shade,

in emptiness is purpose

No Plans

 

The here and now

needs no plans

Sweet

 

How sweet the life well lived

Empty Boats

 

The empty boats rest,

one with the water on which they sit,

each a part of the other...

No Future

Unless you learn to play your own music,

there's no future in your dancing
 

Exposed

Exposed, our nature flawed...

yet we still pretend,

to be what we're not
 

Celebrate

 

The fever dream broke,

the doctor gave the all-clear,

celebrate we did

Below lies peace

Below the unknown

where we come from

peace is found
