Washed Up

I like photographing items found along the beach and try to use the available lighting.

In this case I think I would have been a lot better off if the seashell was on the sand with breaking waves in the background and NOT shooting an it sitting on a rock from right above.

This image doesn't really work for me. So, I've got to try again and do something different.

Nautical Dream

We rested in a safe harbor and took some shelter before the storm. Little die we know it would be ages before we would do this again.

Heading Out

Repeating patterns work well in photographs. They tend to reinforce themes and hold a viewer's interest a bit longer.

Spring

It sure seems like it's been a long Winter, but it wont be that long until Spring is with us.

The Crossing

Water can add a lot to a photo. The way it captures light and reflects things gives images a whole different look. It's one of my favorite subjects.

Worse for the Wear

Old, abandoned, and weathered buildings make great subjects. They reflect the goals, ambitions, and ideals of different times.

What they say about the times, both when they were built and their current condition says much about us.
