Having a blast

My annual venture of photographing fireworks panned out a little better than expected. I was able to secure a great location and was just about far enough away to capture most of the explosions in the frame. A five second exposure seemed to work the best. Still, I'd like to try this again with an even wider lens. Until next year.

Something I'm not used to seeing - protesters - can't say that I blame them. There's a lot of frustration out there folks.

Happy Independence Day

Our Independence should not be taken for granted. We need to fight for it everyday. Savior and enjoy your freedoms.

Come Summer Dreams

Maybe it's the economy, or the fact that it hasn't been very warm... Who knows... but I've been very surprised at how empty the beaches have been so far this Summer.

Not to say that it doesn't work to my advantage. It makes for less of a struggle to minimize that amount of elements in an image.

Burning up the Light

I really like it when it's a bit misty around sunset. The mist catches the light and adds some nice atmosphere to an image.
