Governed

Nature governs this world
it's foolish to believe otherwise

Carried Away

There's no hurry
to unpack
your bags of dreams
let them
take you where they will

Cages

Once we separate ourselves from nature
we cage up our souls

Cold Day

He's blaming the world for everything that it is
grabbing the broom maid by the hand
but she won't dance with him
oh, don't try me
or I'll bur you temporarily
The chandelier will drop on him
and the ball will go on
the pounding notes
dancing shoes across his head
don't cry now, he's only dead
let the jester slap him for a reply
so much time flows by
the band breaks for a day
so the congregation can have its say
the body removed
brunt and spread around
to feed the flowers
that welcome travelers into town
but these roses are black
a plaque hung in namesake
so that when the sun sets
and the town realized its mistake
the tide rose
the storm came
the ground shook
the sky fell
they remembered his name
on that cold day in hell

Stand Up

Trembling
Trembling
Hands wept with fear
As another night draws near
Beckoning
Beckoning
Voices from beyond our sight
Calling on threads of frigid fright
Calling on us for deliverance from the night
Calling on us to stand up and fight

Worth the Wait

Getting things right takes time
but is well worth the wait

All Around

What you seek is all around you
nature holds the answer
be one, connected
