Southbound

I'm southbound baby
I can't take you any more
I'm taking my things
and walking out that door
I'm southbound baby
the tears start when night comes
each heartbeat brings me down
sorrow somber sorrow
movement repetitive intuition
gloominess a boat
lost in the sea of my mind
I'm southbound baby
I'll take whatever I find

In our souls

Graveyards are more full of life than most people know,
with seasons and crops of their own,
little flags for fathers that fought,
flowers for mothers in their cemetery plots,
plastic Christmas trees brought from home,
picnics had with family in tow.....
all to remember the dead...
keeping their memory in our souls
