With grace, we share our passing

touched in parting

our random nature

They fought for the freedom

we so happily give away

the loss is ours

Jeff lay dying

City General his final home

leaving wasn't an option

at least not alive

The news waits for fish

rolled in paper

sold in alleys

a magic lamp

a secret wish

just what we've waited for

With military cadence

insurance from the rain

we wrench the last of our love

feeding our pain

Idle moments

cracking the future

in every alley

where secrets are kept

Our days take us nowhere

circles to chase
till time runs out
