free always

I reach out

but you're not there

seen in memory

forgotten in the day

I cry, I shout

but you don't care

your heartless victory

You know how to be

nothing but free

until a clown tells your otherwise

and says follow me

We rise and fall

knowing and not

being always

life by the drop

History an illusion

a turning of the screw

adding to the confusion

of who is who

The winter will come

for you and me

an image

a flash

gone

we will be

Government is good at taking....

and giving nothing in return
