Hold still

let the storm pass

clearing our way

we'll move soon

Danger lurks

at each crossing

death waits

still we go

Death was in the air

it defined the century

coming in waves

disease and war the norm

it was in our bones

filling our dreams

nothing could shake it

it became part of who you were

When we're open

all flows as it should

Youth is a vacation

moving with a free mind

unfettered by the world

She knew the unknown

felt deep in the bones

a light ahead to follow

the promise of a better tomorrow

The world undone

makes nothing
