The clowns are noisy

distractions and hypocrisy

governing the day

with corruption and decay

The road can't take you anywhere

you're not supposed to go

War was in the air

a post-pandemic jubilee

where tomorrow doesn't matter

politicians filled with glee

Ghosts reaching out

here and there

a glimpse from the corner of an eye
all a question and doubt

We all walk off into the sunset

casting our dreams aside

We reprogrammed ourselves

filling our days with lies

a world of waring trbies

Hard times

make us strong

and politicians rich
