no getting away

"We will have total control of you"

Hey you bad dream, nightmare
cross eyed vision of the dull burning past
go away
Hey you lustful enticing glimpse of the future,
of uncertainty
don't tease me...
just fade away.
You're both strangers to me today

Tension, Tension
Who's really crossed the line?
There's something wrong in the atmosphere
There's a price paid for being here...
parasites picking away at our bones...
clawing at our souls...
we're left ravaged and in fear,
wilted, but beyond control...
on the frontier...
just rolling stones.

Cheap Gas

Cheap Gas by Damian Gadal
Cheap Gas, a photo by Damian Gadal on Flickr.
Things haven't improved much in the last four years.  The economy is still in the toilet, gas prices are still higher than they should be, and the jobs that went away haven't come back.

It's time we try something new.

It's time we thought differently and faced a new reality.

If we don't, the peril we face is of our own making.

Low tide and clouds

Cell phones are transforming photography. These small devices are capturing the world around us in exciting new ways scarcely imagined five years ago.

They've removed the need to be tied to a computer to share with the world, and made photography much more spontaneous.

I trust that tablets will take this transformation a step further.

Breaking things

Breaking things by Damian Gadal

It seems like we really should have been paying attention to the man behind the curtain.

If we had, we wouldn't be in the jam we're in today.

The economy is in shambles, and we're at a point where we just can't seem to pick up the pieces and put it all back together.  Call it a state of denial.

Until we can take a long hard look at ourselves, admit our mistakes, and prioritize our energies, things will continue to fall apart.

Moved on

going to chase other dreams,
going to see other places,
while the tides are in my favor.
