We prepared our young well

boxed them in cages and walls

told them they could do anything

told them all they had to do was dream

they could make the world something

but first they had to set themselves free

The future looked bright

yet never really materialized

just pipe dreams of youth

a fantasy we chose to buy

Without Worry

we light up the future

with toys and gadgets

hoping we'll see the stars

making life an easy journey

lived without worry

though our dreams never take us far

Erased

Our busy days of nothing

chip away at us

untill we're erased

Fondest Memories

our folly of youth

over time adds up

to our fondest memories 

Moments of youth

Prospects for the future

diminishing with time

until there are no more

and we've forgotten

those moments of youth

Passing into the void

like our brothers who passed before

we come and go leaving scarcely a trace

nothingness numbered by the score

the void our final resting place
