We've mastered the art of talking....

all without really saying anything

We feasted at the table,

planning and scheming...

lost for a while.

Just another dying day,

waiting....

Time is true

only to us

invented and abused

waiting constructed

dying all the while

We are the machines we make

programmed and numb

When music sounds the same

flat and off-key

all organic traces gone

it should sound alarms

Humanity is sick

dying by the day

like all things

it must pass

Joe searched the town

high and low

everywhere between

she was gone

no trace of being

but Joe's broken heart
