Contents of our soul

At the end of the day
when chasing dollars is over
we're left with nothing
except the contents of our soul

Out of commission

I haven't been able to get enough stamina back for photography....
and it's been tough, not being able to go out an make images.

Cats

Guardians of the soul
silent and swift in repose
always waiting
always watching

Sink or Swim

When I was a kid I wanted to learn how to swim. It seemed like so much fun, but I was timid. My grandfather solved that by pushing me into the deep end of a pool. He stood at the side and watched as I slowly realized that in my panic, I wasn't sinking, but rather staying afloat. I'd discovered the dog paddle. By the end of that day I was swimming up a storm, and loving it.  It was a lesson I carried with me from that day forward. If you want to learn or do something in life you need to dive in and let come what may....

Change of perspective

If you don't like the view, change your perspective...

The world will collapse under the weight of supporting humanity....

Unheard

Our voice may carry, but words get lost in the wind...

Running Out of Time

And so we sit, day after day, letting the clock unwind, until it ticks no more.

Never Healed

I don't want to be insensitive, but share my impression that this country has never healed from the wounds it suffered more than a decade ago, and probably never will. We're a lessor nation now.

When you see there's no possibility for improvement on your current course,
it might just be time to change the direction of the future...

No direction

Drifting between now and then, beyond return, destination unknown

Beyond Returning

There's a line in life we all cross, and from there we can't return

Binary World

We're getting too hooked on the binary world, slowly being sucked inside... Never to return.

Corrupted Ideals

When we've given away all that's sacred, there's not much reason to celebrate.

When we stopped believing in better days
the storms took shape and headed our way...

Our destination

We'd reached the place of our dreams.... sitting on the skids
There was no place left to go, our adventure had run its course
