As the summer comes to an end it's time to reflect on the season and all the memories made. Time has a funny way of rushing by, it's up to us to make the most of it. Passing along what we can as we fade away.

Problems

We spend so much of our time dealing with problems of other people's making

Maze

Life is indeed a tangled web we weave
day after day, year after year...
until we find ourselves lost in the maze...

Mess

You left behind a never ending mess
to unravel and swallow all around
while you forget their names and faces

Bridge our gaps

All the technology in the world doesn't help us bridge our gaps
nor change the words left unspoken between us...

Forgetting

The process of life is forgetting

all that made us up over the years

moments building and falling all the time

Ignored

So, after having to place my mother in Alzheimer's care,

the family is in the process of settling her affairs....

This has involved cleaning out her place and turning off utilities,

and the utility companies were great... very very helpful,

but when it comes to the mortgage company and HOA,

not a chance... not a good way to do business folks.

We won't be ignored, so step up and do the right thing....

A deal is a deal, and you need to live by the rules you make.

Burning Bridges

Despite our best intentions there are those who'd rather burn a bridge,
rather than work together to make life easier... and lash out at us...
when they're the ones with the matches.... it's tragic!

Hold onto your dreams

Don't let your dreams slip away,
make them real, make them true,

pushes back our dreams
leaves us in a vortex

through our fingers
until there's nothing
left for us to grasp
