Tangled Web

Tangled Web by Damian Gadal
We live in an incredible era of communication. We no longer have to rely on the media and the pretense of reporting for information...

We've seen the results, and this is indeed changing the world.

She's Fine

She's Fine by Damian Gadal
I'm debating on if I should attend another car show today. Lord knows I've got plenty of pictures of cars.

Fade Away So Young

Fade Away So Young by Damian Gadal
I've been processing images slightly differently.... I took this bright red Thunderbird and toned it down and added some vignette to it. With the right image I think this can work quite well.

Powered By Ford

Powered By Ford by Damian Gadal
The car show was a lot of fun. I captured a lot of great images, and ran into an old friend.

Being able to get out and capture images is always a welcome endeavor.

One for the story books

One for the story books by Damian Gadal
I'd say this isn't really the kind of energy we can depend on.  I wouldn't build a future on this type of technology alone.

I should have stopped

I should have stopped by Damian Gadal
Well, Lightroom has gotten me motivated to go back and process images that have been sitting on my hard drive for some time. The jury is still out on whether or not it's increasing my efficiency.

Lonely Heart

Lonely Heart by Damian Gadal
This is by far one of my most popular images on Flickr...... it's just something I stumbled upon while I was out shooting out in some some sand dunes. The image is hardly in focus, but I guess it's the title and sentiment that resonates with people.

This tells me that I should actually stage and image like this and do a much better job of capturing it.

Taking a look

Taking a look by Damian Gadal
I decided to process some images through Lightroom instead of Photoshop. It's an abrupt change to my workflow, that may or may not prove to be a more productive way to get through images.

It's too early to tell right now.

Step it up

Step it up by Damian Gadal
I ended up with way more pictures of dancers than I ever intended to take, so I thought I'd put together a stop motion type of video with them.

It turned out to be a fun project, though it didn't turn out exactly as expected.

It also took 3 hours to put together something that runs just under a minute.

Not the type of project to start unless you have the time to work on it.

Here's a link to the video: Dance in Stop Motion

Good Seats

Good Seats by Damian Gadal
I tried using some fill flash to minimize some of the shadows in the face.... not sure if it worked as well as I expected, but I don't think it hurt....

Mystery Dance

Mystery Dance by Damian Gadal
I was playing around with long exposures to see how the effect would look.... it seems to have added some interest to these dancers.

Flags Up

Flags Up by Damian Gadal
I've been photographing parades for years, I'd like to think that I'm getting better at it.... but it remains an elusive challenge.
