Until our last

Watching the years roll by
things come and go away
like fitfull dreams things pass
with each day until our last

When the fog clears

sitting in the sand
waiting for the next
big wave to come
take me to a foreign land
the tide that thunders ever
so loud, edging nearer
when the fog is gone
the way will be clearer

Dust

monuments decaying from cancer
limestone drying in the sun
as the wind tears the layers away
once buried in the sand
now presiding over the desert land
nothing lasts forever buddha said
so the city dies, and the sphinx
slowly turns her head
the day is coming when sand
is all that's standing in our stead
our history dust for the winds

At last

armored bank cars torn to shreds
buses and trains lay upturned
a sideways world now painted red
the sun has left the sky
in the sea the moon does hide
cities now jigsaw puzzles
never to be put back togheter
the mountain now lay flat
the rivers run off track
man has sealed his fate
at last........

Apathy

Sour grapes
and thorned roses
lost time
and broken dreams
within my mind
their cause imbedded
like a spreading disease
leaving me without means
and end to this
that's what we need
before it's too late
and my heart no longer bleeds
watching humanity
in a world of insanity

Parting

The thin cord of friendship
broken too many times
leaving it too short to repair
it's a loss this parting in despair
but what did you expect....

Possibility

Calmness flowing from within
gives rise to all possibility

Willing

News, news, news,
some good, some bad
always changing
fluent and free
like dreams of tomorrow
when we're willing
we can truly see

Bring it on

It knocks me over when I stand
and every time I have it tight
it slips though my hands
to make another ourtagous demand

Breaking Down

There is a time when straight is drawn too tight
and snaps into bizzar and war is raged
so stumbling hopelessley across the years
and wall crumbling as all continue the fight
all this breaks down reason and drives fun out
with empty heart and empty head
he travels hand in hand in depression  and disbelief
no pot of gold at the end of his rainbow to bring relief

senses dull

Seventh sense dull, lost without pointing a finger,
unaccomplishment crowding up empty space,
let love thaw from my lonely heart....

From my eyes

I'll give you the world
seen from my eyes
full of mystery
and surprise......

Nostalgia

Crowded memories
my life line tonight
hit with nostalgia
caught in hindsight

Roam

Roam the world by freighter
read the ad, the time of your life
is waiting to be had
curiously I replied
and waited for word
for  when the journey
was to begin
word came
and I scurried onboard
with high held chin
the cargo hold
was to be my unhappy home
dark and cold
a month was to pass
before we reached port
number one
and my eyes strained
at first glimpse
of the sun
I pressed for a reason
I had to know
what was going on
everything I imagined
turned out wrong

slipping away

slipping away
no not tonight
slipling away
I'm afraid
slipping away
are you sure it's safe?
slipping away
I don't want to go alone
but I'd ranter be there
than sitting, waiting  here
for the breaking point
is quickly drawing near
trapped for a moment
at the gate of hopelessness
that place they call hell

The swelling

Have you ever seen the swelling
while sitting upon the rocks
reflected moonlight glows
upon the darkness of the sea
gaint, jagged, bits, and broken lines
that chase the waters out into the distance
where waits the horizon of mystery

Waning Day

Are the thoughts in my head antiques
and the feelings in my heart obsolete
must these expressions be discrete
should I chain them down
or preserve them for display
must I become a silhouette
in the waning day?

Unique

Nothing is ordinary, all is unique, each and every day

Endless

The men of the island were gathering
they were collecting old trees and vines
for years and years, they had great plans
they were building something divine
they made the vines into huge ropes
as thick as an arm, and a stand as big
as a pyramid with two huge arms
they hooked their ropes to the arms
and employed the local animals
and they pulled and pulled
until they had those arms to the ground
they fastened the ropes to the side
of their island, then they all climbed
onto the arms and prayed to the wave gods
to set the ropes free, and away they all flew
into an endless sky of dreams....

Where

Where is everywhere, right here, and now, that's all there is, always

Reckless

He walked into the room
recklessly
plunged himself
into attention's center
this place he always
made home
he devoured attention
behind he left his victims
standing helplessly
crazed, he made habit
out of disaster
though this was
all unintended
it was the result
of his presence...

Across the miles

Across the miles
and over the years
laughter and good times
and pain and tears
wrapped in my well
soiled blanket
of memories

Good old days

If we're really honest with ourselves,
we have to admit that the good old days
really weren't all that good.....

Friday, December 4, 2015

The beginning

We build the beginnings of our end
and live through the decline, day by day

Seek Love

Life is chaos, that's the short and simple of it....
seek love to give it meaning and balance

Wednesday, December 2, 2015

He remembers

and so came frustration
with his years
always disaster to confirm
his many fears
yet he remembers times
when he was young
and the stories
of the fall of Eden
and the day evil
made its stand

Say you won't

Each day begins
as an apocalypse
without you
love me please
and I will too
I dare you
oh, words
how you fail
to express
a sinking heart
filled with fear
oh, don't leave
love drowning me
help me, hold me
don't ever leave me
say you won't
burn me from memory
