Mending Fences

You never took the time to mend the fences behind you,
now it's too late to do anything about it and so the damage lingers....
a burden for you to carry until your dying day

Work

The key to working is doing something you love, then it's not work...

Our goodbye

Keeping days to let them fade away
is not a way for us to pass our days...

Boxed In

Jimmy called his cubicle 3:00 am Iowa... if you thought about it
that name fit only too well. It was an environment without any natural
light... It could be best summed up as fluorescent overkill. Without
a watch you'd be hard pressed to know the time of day, and the lack
of windows removed all sense of place. You didn't know the season,
and there were no geographical references off in the distance. No,
all there was to look at were the grey walls of a seven foot tall cubicle
smaller than a prison cell. This would be Jimmy's home for more than
a quarter of a century. His office mates scarcely noticed he died,
that is until the smell started to give it away.

Worry

It's often said that worry serves no useful purpose, and that may be so,
but it's really hard not to worry. Life is filled with unknowns, and what ifs....

Circumstances in life often require consideration and much thought, so,
a little worry may be in order to sort out the issues, and look at the pros
and cons of the forks in the road we run across.

So, the trick really is how to worry constructively, in proper moderation,
so as to make the most of it, and in the end to be happy.

Time for change

Change is never easy, it's hard work, just keep the end game in mind
and march ahead to make things pan out...

Slowing Dying

This letting go has been so hard
watching you fade more each day
I hold your hand and pray for peace
as each part of you fades away...

Skills and Luck

These days skills are niche fragments
bits and pieces of things we do well
that will only get us so far in life and career
the rest is a matter of lots of luck

Expectations

We can make our expectations a reality once we remove our obstacles

Broken

Lately I've been on the receiving end of poorly designed software,
and failing hardware. What is supposed to make our life easier
has turned us into digital slaves... When that's the case we should reset...

Enough

Sooner or later you've got to stop letting the world dictate your life...

Heavy Load

We're often caught carrying a heavy load...
it's up to us to try and balance it.

Change Direction

This is so true.  It's good to stop from time to time and see where we're headed and if it's where we want to go.

Technical Issues

Things don't always work out as the should, leaving us a bit disconnected.

Set Right

I had a dream last night and the world set itself right

Pieces of me

Everyone wants a piece of me
breaking me in bits, chipped away
one day at a time, less than before
all for naught, dreams parsed again

Done

We all have our time in the sun,
a brief moment until we're done...

Broken

We move along
until we break
unable to move
any further...

Old Photos

Old photographs
of times that never were
reminders of the fading past
as we head off to the grave
