the belief that I will be shown
the fact that I will still be
when my body no longer belongs to me
to know that after I quit the race
I will be in a wonderful place
to miss out this, to not awake
would have been a mistake
for how could I be happy
with the future ahead of me
I'm here today and gone tomorrow
why should I live a life of sorrow
we do not know what lies ahead
what a waste, to wait in bed
while we're here we should do our best
before we're laid down to rest
for here there is much good needed to be done
before we go off to meet the son
