California used to be a land of opportunity and prosperity. The people who live here need to take a long hard look in the mirror if they really want to understand what went wrong. Only then will they be able to begin to turn things around. Problem is, it may be too late to do anything.
This is no time for the timid, we must be bold and act swiftly or suffer the consequences of waiting around for someone else to make painful decisions. A leadership vacuum might not be so bad if we seize upon this as an opportunity to change.
This is the time to transform ourselves.
